WOMAD at Home returns on Thursday 1st October at 8pm with a live stream from ONIPA, the third performance in the audio immersive series. The series brings together WOMAD Festival with Real World Studios, to bring the essence of WOMAD directly to an online audience. Featuring eight artists from a cross-section of musical genres, the WOMAD at Home series has been recorded with world-class sound technology and brand new techniques developed at Real World Studios to offer an immersive audio experience that reaches beyond the possibilities of traditional stereo listening.
Beginning on 17th September, each Thursday at 8pm for eight weeks, the audio will be broadcast live in standard and high resolution audio, and will be available to stream on-demand for seven days after it airs. So far, online audiences have enjoyed exclusive music performances from Sarathy Korwar and Voka Gentle.
This Thursday (1st October), Join ONIPA on an immersive journey of discovery as they explore unique and unusual recording spaces indoors and outdoors at Real World Studios and perform a selection of improvised and acoustic performances.
