Thu, 22 Jul – Sun, 25 Jul 2021
We think you should be free to have an amazing weekend, discovering incredible artists from across the world. However, in our 39 years as a festival, we have found some key rules that keep everyone safe. If you have any other questions that aren’t in the FAQs please contact us.
Roll overs from 2020
All tickets rolled over from 2020 remain valid. If you did not request a refund, your ticket will have automatically rolled over to WOMAD 2021. Any Camp WOMAD bookings which were valid at the point of the festival cancellation will also be rolled over for a like-for-like booking to the 2021 festival.
Refunds for all customers will be accepted up until 21st June 2021, at the point at which the government have said they will implement the removal of restrictions. In the event of an issue with your tickets, please contact our team at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. Refunds for all Eventbrite and Ticketline orders are still being processed and may take up to 60 days to reach your account, so please be patient.
Anyone awaiting Ticketline refunds, please do not contact your credit card company. By doing this, it will slow the process down and place an additional burden on our team to respond.
Child or Teenager Ticket upgrades
- My child who did not require a ticket this year, will be over the age of 13 when WOMAD 2021 takes place, what should I do?
At WOMAD, we will honour the child ticket for 2021 and upgrade it to a teenager ticket. There is no charge for children aged 13 and under, however, they must hold a valid ticket to enter the festival. For Eventbrite ticket holders, please contact email@example.com with your order confirmation number and proof of D.O.B, such as a passport. For Ticketline ticket holders, please contact Ticketline’s customer service team at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0161 813 2222 to upgrade your tickets.
- My teenager who did not require an adult ticket in 2020, will be over the age of 18 when WOMAD 2021 takes place, what should I do?
If you rollover the booking in the allotted period, we will honour the teenage ticket for 2021 and upgrade it to an adult ticket. Please contact email@example.com with your order confirmation number and proof of D.O.B.
- I cannot seem to purchase Child or Teenager tickets alone, can I add these onto my existing order?
Yes, we can add child or teenager tickets to an existing order. In this case, please send over the details of the child or teenager you would like to purchase a ticket for. Please include the name, date of birth, contact details for booking, alongside guardian information for the child or teenager on and off site, including name, email address and contact number.
Unfortunately, we are unable to allow child or teenager tickets to be purchased alone. All child or teenager tickets must be booked alongside an accompanying adult, with a purchased 3 or 4 day tickets or day ticket. Children are not permitted to enter the festival without an adult over 22.
- I have already booked tickets/accommodation for the festival, who do I contact if I have any queries regarding my booking?
If you need your confirmation email resending, to change any details on your booking or have any questions, with regards to an existing order from WOMAD 2020 or WOMAD 2021, please contact the WOMAD team at firstname.lastname@example.org
- Do you offer refunds?
Our T&Cs state that tickets will be exchanged or refunded if the festival is cancelled or rescheduled. For those who have booked festival tickets or accommodation packages for WOMAD 2020, you will have received an email from Eventbrite or Ticketline, in April 2020. This gave the option of a refund or to retain your ticket and carry it over to 2021. If you have any further questions regarding your order or did not receive an email from our ticketing providers, please contact our team at email@example.com
- I rolled over my ticket from WOMAD 2020, do I need to do anything to get my tickets updated for WOMAD 2021?
All rollover tickets will be automatically updated to our 2021 dates before the festival (if they have not already) and will be able to use at the gate when entering the festival this July. You do not need to do anything. If you would like to confirm your tickets have successfully rolled over, you will be able to access your tickets through the Eventbrite or Ticketline website.
- I rolled over my ticket from WOMAD 2020, but not sure I want to attend this year. Can I rollover my ticket to WOMAD 2022?
Yes, we are offering all customers the option to rollover tickets to WOMAD 2022. Rollovers will be offered until 21st June 2021, at the point at which the government have said they will implement the removal of restrictions. WOMAD 2022 will take place on 28-31 July 2022.
Do you sell day tickets?
Yes, day tickets will be available to purchase later in the summer, as the festival progresses along its roadmap informed by scheduled government announcements. In order to be the first to hear about day ticket release, please sign up for our newsletter here.
- Can I split the cost of my ticket?
Yes, through our ticket provider Ticketline, we can offer 3-month instalment plans. Instalment plans need to paid in full up to a month before the festival start date.
- I have a disabled ticket and a carers ticket from 2020. Will they BOTH be valid for 2021?
Yes, they will both be valid and you will be re-issued your 2021 tickets later in the year.
- Have my accommodation bookings from 2020 rolled over too?
Before the closing date, to roll over tickets to 2021, you did not need to do anything for your ticket booking to roll over to next year. WOMAD 2021 will take place on 22nd-25th July 2021. Any CAMP WOMAD bookings which were valid at the point of festival cancellation will also be rolled over for a like-for-like booking for the 2021 festival.
- Will my spa bookings roll over too?
Only WOMAD Spa bookings that were valid at the point of festival cancellation can also be rolled over for a like-for-like booking for the 2021 festival. You do not need to do anything for the booking to roll over.

- Where do I find my order number?

The unlawful supply or illegal use of drugs is not condoned by WOMAD, this now includes the use of substances previously referred to as ‘legal highs’ and Nitrous Oxide (NOs). Drug enforcement laws are as applicable on site as anywhere else in the country. Security officers will be on site and will deal with drug offenses in accordance with national guidelines. If you engage in the unlawful supply of drugs, it is likely that you will be arrested. Neither anti-social nor illegal behaviour will be tolerated; participants will leave themselves liable to eviction from the site.
Experimenting with drugs can lead to adverse reactions. If you do take drugs and you become ill, depressed or frightened, please ask a steward to direct you to one of the many facilities on site which can help and support you.
Smoking is illegal in enclosed public areas. We enforce a smoking ban in ALL enclosed structures. Please remember to dispose of your cigarette ends responsibly.

Sleeping in vehicles is not permitted under any circumstances apart from in the designated live-in vehicle areas. Live-In Vehicle tickets can be purchased separately but sell quickly. Please note: generators are not permitted.
Please note barbecues or fires are not permitted in any of our campsites.

There is no charge for children aged 13 and under, however, they must hold a valid ticket to enter the festival. Please see the tickets section to order a child ticket.
Teenagers (aged 14 – 17) must be accompanied by a parent/guardian of 22 years and over. One ticket holding parent/guardian can only accompany up to four people under the age of 18.
Litter & Recycling
We can’t solve the world’s problems alone but together we can make a difference.
The cleanliness of your campsite after the festival shows us that you care and don’t abandon tents and other waste. You have done this long before it was fashionable. Thank you.
This doesn’t mean that there isn’t waste but you are already leaving less waste than any other comparable festival in the country.
What happens to the rest?
Over the last six years, WOMAD has generated an average of 113 tons of waste per festival. In 2012 approximately 16% of the waste was recycled. Since 2014, by supporting a Waste to Energy scheme, after metal, wood, glass, and some plastics are removed for specialised recycling, 100% of our remaining waste is diverted from landfill and recycled into energy. Ash etc from the process is then used in infrastructure projects nationally.
This means there will not be six different types of recycling bins around the site this year, just one. (Which in itself reduces vehicle movements on site). This is then sorted on site by our waste collection provider.
The best solution is for everyone to take their waste away with them but this method is accepted by our partners and advisors to currently be the most sustainable solution.
Please make sure you dispose of your cigarette ends in one of the many litter bins across the site.
Glass can be brought into the campsites but not into the arena. Please dispose of any glass items responsibly in the bins provided.
