INTERNATIONAL ART FOR AN INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

World of Art was introduced in 2010 with the aim of bringing the work of contemporary visual artists to the festival. Each year we have invited British and International artists to bring or create a wide range of work including film, sculpture, installations and performance.

THIS YEAR'S INSTALLATION
PIF PAF

This year we are very pleased to be working with the highly acclaimed visual and physical theatre company, Pif-Paf who create stunning and constantly evolving work from the intimate to the extreme. Since 2005 they have taken audiences on a roller-coaster ride through a land of giant puppets, natural history, mobile theatre and high adrenaline circus. Find them in a secret location at the festival.

LAST YEAR'S COMMISSION

OPAVIVARÁ! is an art collective from Rio de Janeiro. At WOMAD 2018 they presented Rede Social, a space for contemplation, experimentation, and coexistence. Rede Social is a multi-part hammock, a tangible 'social network' that invites the cooperation and negotiation of its participants as people are thrown together as part of a temporary collective.
This year we will be presenting some spectacular light and sound installations, artist announcements coming soon.
