WOMAD is incredibly proud of its workshop programme which is free to festival goers and gives them an insight into music and culture that goes beyond the normal festival experience.

With over 80 adult workshops and over 200 children’s workshops, there is certainly something for everyone if you want to give it a go, and try something you wouldn’t normally do.

You’ll find a full programme of workshops in The All Singing All Dancing tent, and the World Rhythms tent where you can delve deeper into the music, the moves, and the motivations of some of the amazing artists performing at the festival, and you’ll work alongside them, learn a new skill and hear their stories.   From 9.30am til 9.30pm you can have a go at anything from African drumming to acapella singing, from Beatboxing to Brazilian dance.

But that’s not the only place to find WOMAD workshops, they spring up all around the site; the Arboretum is home to laughing yoga, Sing Out sessions and Kora workshops to name just a few, the Big Red tent hosts morning Tai Chi, and Molly’s Bar has loads on offer in the daytime, so check out the programme and get stuck in!
