The Human Library
This incredibly successful aspect of WOMAD UK is back for a third year running. The Human Library encourages people to come and be a 'living book' to be 'borrowed' by a WOMAD festival goer. The books are intended to challenge stereotypes and give people access to the thoughts & stories of people they would not normally meet. They are people who have experienced discrimination or challenges in their lives and offer to talk openly of these experiences to the borrower.
