An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the WOMAD Team as our Festival Marketing Officer.

We’re looking for a enthusiastic individual to co-ordinate the implementation of the marketing plan for the UK WOMAD festival and contribute to its on going development and improvement.

Employment period: 8 month freelance contract, reporting to the Festival Director.

Main duties and responsibilities

Marketing
To provide accurate and up to date information on WOMAD festivals to the public and media via the WOMAD website, social media channels and email.

To co-ordinate the delivery of key WOMAD marketing tools, including but not limited to the website, the app, regular e.newsletters, sourcing and managing visual assets.

Co-ordinate the Festival print programme.

Provide marketing support to WOMAD event partners and external agencies including PR companies, design companies and journalist/writers/photographers.

Maintain a close working relationship with the external PR company supplying information if required and feedback on campaigns mounted.

Liaise with partners in the use of the WOMAD brand nationally and internationally and maintain up to date brand guidelines for use by partners.

Maintain WOMAD’s archive of photographs and artist information.

Work with WOMAD Social Media Officer in creating promotional content for WOMAD Social Media and website.

Monitor and report back on Google Analytics data of Web Site usage etc.


Marketing Administration
Co-ordinate the recruitment of temporary staff as and when required.

Liaise with the British Library and their engagement with the festival.

Support the Operations and Event Director and the Programme Manager in preparation of marketing information for all WOMAD festivals if required.

Support WOMAD staff in the marketing of projects relating to the company.

Collating and inputting marketing related data into the guest passes system and supporting the management of accreditation lists with the Passes Manager.
