House Gospel Choir
Generating a rapturous uplift

Taking as their motto, the words of the late Chicago DJ Frankie Knuckles who described house music as “church for people that have fallen from grace,”  the London-based House Gospel Choir generate a rapturous spiritual uplift.

Founded by producer and singer Natalie Maddix, directed by the soprano ShezAr and featuring powerhouse vocals from Chella Mac and Kersha Bailey, the choir’s gospel fervour is amped up further by the mixing of Kiss FM DJ, Funk Butcher, percussion from Dezy Bongo and live keyboards by Stevie Mac.  They also demand plenty of participation from their audiences, whom they prefer to call ‘house guests’.
